Day 1 - 3 Rovos Rail Pretoria – Cape Town
Upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will be met by a representative from Rovos Rail who will drive you to the Rovos Rail Private Railway Station in Pretoria. From here you will start you two night journey through South Africa to Cape Town on what is most probably the world’s most luxurious train. On the way from Pretoria to Cape Town you will make stops in the diamond mining town of Kimberly and the historic village of Matjiesfontein.
Day 3 - 6 Cape Town
When you arrive at Cape Town station you will be met by your chauffeur who will drive you to Clarendon Bantry Bay in Bantry Bay.
In Cape Town you will stay at the beautiful boutique guest house The Clarendon Bantry Bay. The Clarendon Bantry Bay is located in one of Cape Town’s most prestigious areas and has a wonderful view of the ocean. From The Clarendon it is close to most of Cape Town’s main attractions.
You will spend 5 nights in Cape Town which will give you time to explore the city. When visiting the Cape make sure not to miss the Waterfront, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Camps Bay, Clifton as well as some of the amazing wine farms in Constantia.
Day 6 – 8 Hermanus
From Cape Town you will drive along the coast to the sea side town of Hermanus (just over 2 hours from Cape Town). Hermanus is famous for the Southern Right Whales that every year comes to the bay outside of Hermanus. Between July and December Hermanus is the best spot in South Africa to view these beautiful animals, either from land or from a boat. Hermanus is also close to the town of Gansbaai which is famous for shark cage diving.
In Hermanus you will be staying at the very romantic boutique hotel Birkenhead House. Birkenhead House is a stunning five star fully inclusive boutique hotel located on a cliff overlooking the sea.
Day 8 - 12 The Cape Winelands (Stellenbosch)
From Hermanus you will drive through to the Winelands, the drive to Stellenbosch is approximately 2 hours. In Stellenbosch you will be staying at the lovely boutique hotel Majeka House. Majeka House is situated just outside of Stellenbosch town and it is a perfect place from which to explore the many wine estates and amazing restaurants in the area. Some of the top golf courses in South Africa are also situated a short drive from Majeka House.
Travel For Life will naturally arrange all your restaurant reservations at the best restaurants in the area and if you would like to play golf we will also arrange tee off times at the top golf courses in Cape Town, Hermanus and the Cape Winelands.
Day 12 - 15 Safari in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve
After breakfast at Majeka House you will be driven to the airport in Cape Town from where you will fly to Nelspruit (2.5 hours flight from Cape Town). At the airport in Nelspruit you will be picked up and driven to the luxurious Londolozi Founders Camp in the world famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Here you will spend 3 nights on safari in the world renowned Sabi Sands Game Reserve.
Day 15
After your morning game drive and a leisurely breakfast at Londolozi Founders Camp you will be driven to the Sabi Sands airstrip from where you will fly directly to Johannesburg Oliver Tambo International Airport. From Johannesburg you will then fly back home.
