Simbavati is warm and welcoming, with a generous contemporary design and accommodation for guests in luxury tented rooms or thatched chalets. Simbavati takes its name from the local Shangaan language, translated as “the place where the lions come down from the stars”. The lodge is built next to the Nhlaralumi River and the views of the river are stunning. A perfect way to spend an afternoon is to sit on the large wooden deck overlooking the river and look at the passing game.
“Simbavati is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the bush, this is one of our favourite places in South Africa and we thourouly recommend a stay here. The accommodation, the safari, the service and the food are all excellent!.” - Alexandra
