Mhondoro

As guests arrive at Mhondoro they are given a warm African welcome with singing and cool refreshing towels and a drink at the lodge’s reception.

There is a small reception area and a curio shop and to access the lodge's main building you descend some stairs. In the main building you will find the bar and dining area as well as a wonderful pool deck with great views of the watering hole and passing game. There is also a small gym and steam room for those guests that feel they need to work off some of the great food and drink enjoyed at Mhondoro.

Mhondoro has a boma where guests will enjoy some spectacular meals and great entertainment and next to the main building there is a small conference room that also functions as a TV room / children’s entertainment area.

Suites at Mhondoro
There are only four chalets at Mhondoro so the sense of privacy and exclusivity is very evident. All of the chalets are beautifully decorated in a contemporary African feel. Three of the chalets are laid out in the same way with a large bedroom area leading out to a private veranda. The chalets all have spacious en-suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower. From the bathroom there is a door leading out to an outside shower for those guests who would like to enjoy a shower under the beautiful African night sky.

There is also one chalet that has two bedrooms each with its own spacious en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms are linked by a central sitting area leading out to a private sun deck with a Jacuzzi.

General Information:
The staff, rangers and managers are extremely friendly and hospitable with a great knowledge of the African bush.
Mhondoro has perfectly balanced the blend of luxury safari with real African bush.
Children of all ages are welcome, but only children over 8 can join on the game drives unless the whole lodge is rented by the same group.
