This sophisticated bushveld safari camp features just 3 private cottages in secluded bush locations with breath-taking river views, shaded by a 500-year old forest.
Pioneer camp is steeped in the early history of Londolozi and tells the story of adventurers of a bygone era.
Unique, peaceful and secluded, the wild unrestricted wilderness is still the defining experience at Pioneer Camp.
Focused on multi-generation family travel, this easy-going camp can also be converted into a private bush home for family groups of 6 - 14 people through connecting glass sky walkways into interconnected family units.
The 3 luxurious suites have clean lines which compliment the modern and sophisticated décor with floor to ceiling glass sliding panels which frame the wilderness beyond.
The Old English indulgence reflects the heritage with an African twist. The influences are evident in the elegant cream interiors, silver teapots and Portmeirion crockery.
The bathrooms are classic Victorian with modern accents in the marble, chrome and mahogany finishes.
Each suite has their own fireplace and bar, air-conditioning and a private outdoor shower in the African bush. Guest suites are themed with historic memorabilia, furnishing an environment of leisurely indulgence.
Everything about Pioneer Camp is sincerely personal and provides a romantic backdrop to the adventures of a new generation of refined travellers.
The Camp has a swimming pool and boma (open air dining area) where evening meals are enjoyed under the stars. Guests are most welcome to visit Londolozi Bateleur Camp's curio shop and interpretive centre.
At Londolozi the Varty family has refined the menu of activities to include a unique blend of senses and soul, creating an offering of sophisticated style and adventure.
At Londolozi they offer spectacular Big 5 game drives in their extensive wildlife area with unsurpassed leopard viewing.
Take your pick, the list is virtually endless; interpretation and learning, adventure & adrenalin, massages, yoga, clay pigeon shooting, all day wilderness trekking, moonlight walks, bush running, African fitness room, animal tracking adventures, sleep-outs, fishing and so much more.
