Location: Madikwe Game Reserve

Impodimo offers a genuine safari experience only four hours drive from Johannesburg in the Madikwe Game Reserve where a world of excitement awaits you.

Impodimo is a lovely intimate safari lodge that offers authentic African bush accommodation in luxury thatched suites. Hidden in the bush among large Tamboti trees and alongside a natural spring, guests will experience exceptional hospitality.

The lodge is small with only eight rooms where guests will feel part of a larger family as they share dinner with the other guests. Lovely open spaces, lounge and dining area built on stilts and upstairs library with a lookout spot offers guests the ideal place to watch the animals pass by.

The rock pool is serene surrounded by the bush and frequently visited by elephants and other curious animals so that guests may find themselves sharing the pool with thirsty elephants. There are several quiet areas for guests to relax and soak up the majestic setting with out being on top of each other.

Impodimo lodge is not fenced in and animals often wonder into the camp uninvited, a favourite is the pool and bar area where guests and animals tend to migrate here for some shade and cooling down.

“We were having a lovely breakfast by the pool when all of a sudden a new thirsty guests joined us, only 20m from us was an elephant resting its trunk on the pool edge as it drank from the cool pool water.” - Adam
