Tinga Narina is built in a modern African style and beautifully situated on the banks of the Sabi River on a private concession in the Kruger National Park. Tinga Narina is very exclusive and is ideal for people wanting to experience an African safari in a truly majestic setting.
Tinga Narina consists of a lovely and luxurious main building where the dinning room, bar and curio shop are situated. From the main building guests can step out onto a large wooden deck with a great view of the Sabi River, lunch is often served on the deck so that guests can view the passing game coming for a drink in the river.
“We had heard that there where black rhino in the area before arriving at Tinga and we asked our ranger if we could try and find one of these very rare creatures. After about 1 hour into our game drive, we had already experienced some wonderful sightings when our ranger told us to hold on as some black rhino had been spotted about 20 minutes away. We drove as fast as we could, passing a heard of feeding elephants, to get to the spot where the black rhino had been spotted. When we arrived we saw 8 black rhino in one place, something that is pretty much unheard of!" - Adam
Suites at Tinga Narina
At Tinga Narina there are 9 lovely suites. All of the suites are built on stilts and have spectacular views of the Sabi River. Each spacious suite (125m²) is luxuriously decorated with an open-plan bedroom and lounge, viewing deck with heated plunge pool. The en-suite bathrooms are also spectacular with a large shower, free standing bath with great view of the river as well as an outdoor shower for guests wanting to take a shower under the stars. All suites come equipped with a safe, satellite TV, air-conditioning, under-floor heating, tea and coffee making facilities.
General Information:
The two Tinga lodges are without doubt amongst the most beautiful and romantic game lodges in the Lowveld.
Bush walks can be arranged with the ranger.
Tinga allows its jeeps to drive off-road enabling guests to get much closer to the animals.
Spa treatments are available in the rooms for guests wanting to pamper themselves and for bigger groups there is a Spa and resident therapist at Tinga Legends.
Internet access is available for guests.
Children under 12 are not allowed at Narina.
There is no pool at the main lodge building at Tinga Narina, but all the suites have private heated plunge pools.
