Set high in the mountains in the southern section of the Kruger National Park, Shishangeni is a genuine African style safari lodge built in typical rondavels (round huts) with thatch roofs, high ceilings and African décor with in earthy colours like orange, yellows and light browns mixed with African animal prints.
The safari lodge is very private and blends in with the bush, lovely spacious common areas, the dining room, lounge and bar lead out to a big veranda built on stilts overlooking the gorgeous African bushveld. The big pool and manicured lawn is ideal for children and there is also a computer room, conference room and library. For longer stays guests can work off the excess food at the small gym.
Rooms at Shishangeni
At Shishangeni there are 22 suites all the same in size and very spacious with stone and wood finishes, thatch roofs, open fireplaces and private wooden decks overlooking the beautiful Kruger National Park. The rooms have different colour schemes and layouts and four of the rooms are inter-leading and can be used as family rooms. All the rooms have air conditioning, mini bar and tea and coffee facilities. There is an open feel from the bedroom to the bathroom.
Additional Information
Children of all ages are welcome and babysitting facilities are offered at an additional cost.
Children under 5 years can not join on the game drives.
