Set high amongst a canopy of indigenous acacia and lantern bush trees and linked via elevated walkways, each of the 6 Royal Malewane suites benefit from rich deck wood terraces, thatched gazebos and infinity pools.
They feature palatial air-conditioned bedrooms/sitting rooms with fireplaces, mini-bar, antique canopied king-size beds and extravagant bathrooms with window-side Victorian bath and indoor and outdoor showers.
In addition, the stunning Royal Suite and Malewane Suite comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests and afford the complimentary services of a private chef, butler and game drives.
As the lodge is set deep in the African bush, this is ideal for the traveller who wants to experience true Africa.
This sanctuary for the senses offers guests an indoor and outdoor treatment area, gym, double treatment rooms with spa baths, four casitas for post-treatment relaxation and a 25-metre heated lap pool. Treatments are inspired by African rituals, and indigenous oils and traditional ingredients provide a sensory experience with an unforgettable African touch. The treatments may be enjoyed in the spa, in the spectacular open-air sala or in the complete privacy of the guest’s suite.
Lavish meals are prepared by award-winning chef, John Jackson and include sumptuous bush breakfasts and dinners served in a Bedouin tent lit by Moroccan lanterns.
Game viewing, by open vehicle or on foot, is tailored. Royal Malewane is privileged to have the only surviving Master Tracker currently working in Southern Africa. This guiding excellence combined with a staff to guest ratio of four to one ensures a supremely personal service.
Additional activities can be arranged for guests, which include a horse-riding safaris, hot-air balloon flights, golf, community tours and visits to the nearby wildlife rehabilitation centre.
The lodge is accessible by road, and private charter flights and helicopter transfers are also available directly to the lodge.
