Location: Safari near Cape Town

Tilney manor is surrounded by carefully laid out lush indigenous gardens set in a malaria free area.  This is the perfect location for rediscovering creativity and regenerating energy.

Tilney Manor consists of 3 single units including 6 large open plan suites, each opening onto private verandas overlooking breath-taking views of the rolling mountains and plains.

Tiney Manor is the oldest and possibly most well-known. It dates back to the 1800’s and the rooms have been decorated to add to the period luxury that Tilney offers.

The exclusivity that the lodge provides ensures that guests can experience personal service and world-class cuisine in an atmosphere of privacy and tranquillity.  The lodge’s décor is Cape Georgian inspired and draws on the natural colours of the surrounding stone and vegetation, with subtle touches of San culture influencing the design throughout the guest rooms and conference facility.

Their fully equipped Spa offers guests the opportunity to recover from the harshness of the outside world and restore their sense of inner harmony.

In Tilney Manor breakfast is usually served on the porch, sitting in the shade of an old blue-gum tree overlooking the Karoo and watching the landscape swim into colourful relief. At lunchtime, you adjourn to the shady inner courtyard, which also has a full bar. At dinnertime, the best option is to have your meal brought to your veranda; or there is a cosy dining room seating up to 12.

Suites:  All suites can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults per suite.  There is 4 King bedded & 2 Twin bedded Luxury Suites.
The suites run along the side of the old manor and face out to the wilderness of the karoo. They are warmly decorated in creams, beiges and yellows, with African touches. A coal fire keeps you warm in winter, air-con keeps you cool in summer. As for size, they are more than generous: in addition to the opulent bedroom with four-poster double bed, there's a large open-plan bathroom with freestanding tub, and a private veranda with deck chairs. A shower room and a loo are hidden behind closed doors, while sliding glass doors lead out to a private garden with double outdoor slate shower.
