Kapama Buffalo Camp is the traditional styled safari lodge in the Kapama Game Reserve. Here guests can enjoy a traditional tented safari in a beautiful environment.
Kapama Buffalo Camp is the most traditional of the safari lodges at Kapama Game Reserve. The lodge consists of eight luxury safari tents. The tents at Kapama Buffalo Camp are set on stilts high amongst the treetops overlooking a seasonal riverbed. Raised wooden walkways connect the tented suites and lead to the main lodge area. The river below rarely flows and antelopes are often seen walking along the riverbed. Each tented room has all the usual comforts of electricity, en-suite bathroom, safe, writing table, wardrobe, suitcase stand and tea/coffee facilities.
The communal areas of Kapama Buffalo Camp are on the riverbank, where gardens of aloes and euphorbia are tended around the thatched bar, dining room, pool terrace and campfire. But the thick African bush is just a glance away, inhabited by animals like lion, hyena and jackal whose calls can be heard in the dead of night. Lanterns, rather than electric lights, glow at night under the trees, creating a special intimate ambience particular to Kapama Buffalo Camp.
Buffalo Camp's pool area is small and intimate and the pool is big enough for a dip rather than a swim. The pool area is a great place to relax between game drives.
