The African Relish Cooking School
The cooking school at African Relish has scheduled cooking classes most weekends, please see the price page for more information about these courses. At any other time African Relish will be more than happy to tailor make courses according to individual or group requirements. Most weekends a specialist in a certain type of cooking is brought in to teach at the cooking schools and at other times the very talented Chef Vanie Padayachee will lead the cooking schools.

A few days at the African Relish Cooking school is really an amazing experience for any person with an interest in good food and wine.

The African Relish Restaurant
The African Relish restaurant is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday or by special arrangement for private functions and dinners. Cooking course participants will sometimes assist in the preparation of the dishes served to restaurant guests as part of the cooking experience.
The menu changes each week, designed around seasonal, local produce and takes Karoo cuisine on a contemporary journey.

Accommodation at African Relish
The accommodation at African Relish consists of handpicked and renovated cottages in this charming Karoo town. With traditional irrigation canals running along the streets, this combination of well-appointed and luxurious living space coupled with the sound of trickling water is a haven in which to unwind. At African Relish there are both 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom cottages, some have modern design and others a more traditional Karoo cottage design. All are very luxurious and comfortable and come with en suite bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, living rooms and lovely verandahs.
