Suites at Grootbos
There are two lodges at Grootbos, Forest Lodge is a lovely modern contemporary lodge with stunning views of the beach and ocean as you enter the reception. Here guests will also find the Champagne bar, a dining room and an outside veranda where breakfast and lunch are often served. The large pool is also a fantastic construction that suits the luxury modern lodge perfectly, and is a wonderful place to laze around on a hot day.
The 16 free standing suites are very modern and decorated with warm colours and some African inspired furniture. The suites at Forest Lodge are spacious with a separate bedroom and lounge. All suites have French windows that open onto wooden verandas with majestic views of the beach, ocean and mountains. Two of the suites have their own plunge pools on the decks.
Garden Lodge has a more African décor with thatch roof and lovely African artifacts in the reception and dining room. The lodge is very cosy and has a lovely open fire place in the centre of the dining room for cold winter days. Beautiful views of the beach from the reception and veranda will guarantee some gorgeous sunsets. The pool is quite small but great to cool down at the end of the day.
There are 11 spacious suites at Garden Lodge, all free standing and very private with all the modern comforts, a large lounge, a kitchenette, a fire place and private outside wooden veranda as well as big windows with beautiful views of the beach, the sea and the mountains. Some suites have a second bedroom with en-suite bathroom downstairs and a smaller lounge which allows parents to have some time alone after putting the kids to bed.
Grootbos is very eco-friendly and both lodges were built to blend in with nature, so many earthy tones and natural fabrics have been used in the lodges as well as a lot of wood and stone was used to build the lodges.
All the suites have TV and DVD, there is a DVD library at reception for guest wanting to enjoy a movie.
