Milkwood Manor is a beautiful guest house that offers great comfort and very friendly service. From Milkwood Manor there are unspoiled views of the sea and the lagoon with a gorgeous stretch of beach that divides the sea from the lagoon and in the distance the lovely mountains.
Milkwood Manor is perfectly situated with so much to do in and around Plettenberg Bay, it is a lovely place to relax and unwind when touring the Garden Route.
Milkwood Manor has a real beach house feel with lovely wooden floors and high ceilings giving a wonderful light and airy feel to the guest house. The common areas for guests are limited as much of the garden was washed away together with the pool in the 2007 November floods, however guests will undoubtedly choose to spend most of their time on the beach swimming in the lagoon and relaxing in the privacy of their own balconies/patios.
The wonderful owners make sure that guests are taken care of and the service and warm welcome are so genuine that you feel Milkwood Manor is more of a home away from home.
Rooms at Milkwood Manor
There are thirteen rooms and all differ slightly in size, views and layout but overall the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms nice. The décor is similar in all the rooms, with soft tones and a “less is more” look that creates a seaside beach feel with a touch of the African style. Guests can simply kick off their shoes and relax. The beds are very nice and all the rooms have TV, safe, ceiling fan, hairdryer and tea and coffee facility. The bathrooms are comfortable and well sized. Some rooms have shower only and other rooms separate bath and shower.
Close by:
Plettenberg Bay town centre is 3 minutes drive and Knysna is merely 35km. Some great golf courses are a short drive away, such as Pezula and Simola as well as many adventure activities such as the world’s highest bridge bungee jump at the Blauukrans River bridge (35km), canopy gliding between the trees in the Tsitsikama Forest (75km), Elephant Park and Monkey Land only 20 minutes drive as well as whale watching in Plettenberg Bay.
General Information:
Milkwood Manor has two canoes for those guests wishing to adventure around the lagoon and for the less energetic Milkwood Manor has a small boat to transport guests across the lagoon to the lovely stretch of beach.
