Hunter’s Country House is a lovely thatched manor house radiating elegance and beauty with equally lovely manicured gardens. Hunter’s Country House is full of charm and character the hotel resembles an English country estate with a wonderful colonial African feel. The lovely antique-furnished lounges, candle-lit dining room and sun-drenched conservatory are some of the areas guests can enjoy during their holiday.
The estate is big and has lovely gardens and manicured lawns that create a tranquil and romantic setting. The large pool surrounded by deck chairs in shaded thatch roofs is gorgeous. Hunter’s Country House is ideal for guests wanting a romantic stay or smaller groups travelling together, and also for families with children. There is the Cubs’ Corner where parents can leave their children in the care of a babysitter and also a jungle gym, paddling pool and TV and selection of video games.
Suites at Hunter’s Country House
There are 21 luxury suites secluded within the gardens, some more private than others. All the suites are free-standing with thatch roofs and are spacious ranging from 45m² to 125m². Individually designed and decorated with antique-furnishings the suites have en-suite bathrooms with separate shower and bath and a private patio from where to enjoy the garden and lovely surroundings. A few of the suites even have a private plunge pool. For ultimate comfort all suites are equipped with air conditioner and ceiling fan, fireplace, telephone, mini-bar, tea and coffee facility, TV and hairdryer.

Hunter’s Country House is located between the two premier seaside towns on the Garden Route, Plettenberg Bay (10km) and Knysna (20km). There are numerous restaurants nearby and many great golf courses amongst others Pezula and Simola as well as many adventure activities such as the world’s highest bridge bungee jump at the Blauukrans River bridge, canopy gliding between the trees in the Tsitsikama Forest and whale watching in Plettenberg Bay.
