Fynbos Ridge

Fynbos Ridge is a very secluded guest house in the middle of a private fynbos (indigenous) forest, although it is only 10 minutes away by car from the beautiful town of Plettenberg Bay. Fynbos Ridge has a main house with a few rooms, cottages and a studio connected to the main house. At Fynbos Ridge there are accommodation alternatives to suit the needs of most travellers.

Fynbos Ridge has a lovely swimming pool with spectacular views of the valley and mountains. For guests wanting to explore the beautiful surroundings there are two different walking trails on the property, one that takes 20 minutes and the other one takes from 45min to 1 hour.

The main house has a small lounge with a fireplace, a TV-room and a kitchen where breakfast is prepared. There is a breakfast room that can be used as a dining room if dinner is requested.  The breakfast room leads to a big veranda with breathtaking views to the valley and mountains.

Rooms at Fynbos Ridge
There are 5 rooms in the main house – two upstairs and three downstairs. Two of these have king size beds and three have twin beds that can be transformed in extra large double beds. Two of the rooms have balconies. All the bathrooms have a separate bath and shower. The rooms at Fynbos Ridge have all the modern amenities including mini-bar, coffee and tea facilities, flat screen TV and DVD players, satellite TV, telephone, books and ceiling fans. They also have stunning views to the valley, fynbos and mountains.

Connected to the main house, there is one self catering studio. The studio apartment has a king size bed, full open plan kitchen and lounge and dining area and it also has a separate entrance.

At Fynbos Ridge there are also three cottages decorated in a classic elegant way. The cottages have two bedrooms one main bedroom with a king size bed and a fireplace, en-suite bathroom with a very wide bath. The other bedroom has twin beds and the second bathroom is next to it with a big rain shower.  There are also a big lounge and dining room with fireplace and fully equipped open plan kitchen. All the cottages have coffee and tea facilities, flat screen TV and DVD players, satellite TV, telephone, books and ceiling fans.

Brian, the owner, is a chef and famous for his delicious dishes. You can request breakfast or dinner and you will not regret it.

The property has a stunning and untouched nature with more than 85 types of birds.
There is a very strong environmental awareness in Fynbos Ridge, the guest house is carbon neutral.
