The hotel opened in December 2003 and has since received many awards recognising its excellent service, for example, Best Resort Hotel SPA in South Africa by Les Nouvelles Esthaétiques 2005 and Most Outstanding Golf Resort Worldwide 2006 by VIP International Traveller Reader's Travel Award.

On the backdrop of the imposing mountains with un-spoilt nature, ancient forests and sheltered beaches Pezula offers guests wonderful day activities like hiking, horse-riding, canoeing and picnics or more romantic meals at the Castle on Noetzie beach.

Although a hotel and resort it does not feel like a big hotel, rather Pezula takes care to offer exceptional personalised service and a very warm welcome. The rooms are set apart from the main hotel building and separated by lovely indigenous garden with views to the lagoon and golf course. African art from local artists and modern decor with earthy warm colours blend beautifully with the nature surrounding the resort. The large outside deck veranda, with a koi pond and fountain looks onto the golf course and lagoon and here also is the big outdoor pool.
 
For the perfect treat, guests can be spoilt at the SPA and even endure some training with a personal trainer at the gym before taking a swim in the gorgeous indoor pool and relaxing in the sauna, steam room or outdoor Jacuzzi.

Suites at Pezula
Pezula has 76 rooms in three categories, studio suites, villa suites and two presidential suites in free standing villas. All the suites are very spacious, between 58m² and 137m², with living area, big fire place and views from the balcony of the lagoon or the sea. The presidential suites, Mufaro and Kufaro, are bigger, 137m² and have a separate lounge and dining area, two log fireplaces, fully equipped kitchen, guest toilet as well as a private patio or balcony.

The modern African décor of every suite creates a relaxing setting for a wonderful stay. The bathrooms have free standing bath tub, large shower, twin basins and under floor heating for ultimate comfort. Other amenities are air conditioning, TV, DVD player and DVDs that can be requested at the reception free of charge, electronic safe, wireless internet connection, walk-in wardrobe, private bar and mini fridge as well as tea and coffee facilities.

Dining at Pezula
Pezula is known for its restaurant Zachary where guests can enjoy a wonderful meal from the A La Carte menu which changes seasonally.  The chef Geoffrey Murray gets his inspiration from local ingredients and uses a lot of organic products.

The delicious continental breakfast is served on a tray to your table and there is also a variety of hot options from the menu.
