Majeka House

Majeka House opened its doors to guests in November 2008 and is a lovely small design hotel owned by Karine and Lloyd van der Merwe.

The décor throughout is modern with light tones and beautiful patterned wallpaper and the best feature is the long pool under glass roofing which slides open so guests can swim all year round. The Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room will undoubtedly be a favourite before taking to the gym or maybe just straight off to the spa for a delectable treatment.
Lovely garden with sun loungers and outdoor tables and chairs set for breakfast, lunch and dinner or just for a nice drink taking in the tranquil Winelands surroundings. There are two additional smaller and more private pools, one at the villa and one by the three superior rooms so guests do not need to feel on top of one another.
The restaurant “Bliss”, bar and lounge at Majeka House are tastefully decorated and guests might feel that they are at a hip and happening city restaurant.

Rooms at Majeka House
At Majeka House there are five room categories:

Premier Rooms, Superior Rooms, Pool Suites, Mountain View Suites and The Villa (a 3 bedroom villa with private pool ideal for families and smaller groups).  All similar in décor and very spacious with beautiful bathrooms. Attention to detail the slick and modern décor and furniture is in perfect balance with the warmth and comfort desired for a relaxed time.

Every room has air conditioning, mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities including a Lavazza espresso machine, flat screen TV, wireless internet connection, safe, bath robes as well as pool towels and bag.

Majeka House is very close to De Zalze golf course and to many wonderful wine estates and also many great restaurants.

Stellenbosch, 2nd oldest town in South Africa.

General Information:
Majeka House takes children of all ages.
There is a light lunch menu and Á La Carte dinner menu available daily, but dinner is dependant on numbers and must be requested one day in advance.
Majeka House also owns Beads restaurant in Stellenbosch great whether you want a light bite or 3 course meal.
Majeka House is an ideal accommodation for small wedding groups the owners even own a beautiful Daimler that can be rented as the wedding car.
Majeka House caters for small conference groups of up to 20 people.
Majeka House offers complimentary shuttle into Stellenbosch at certain times during the day.

Rates are quoted per person per night in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of breakfast.

A superb hotel! Excellent service, very good food, splendid room and beautiful gardens. Close to some fine golf courses, Somerset West as a good example, and close by vineyards with great wines.
