Lanzerac Hotel and Spa

Since being renovated, Lanzerac has become a 5 star luxury hotel with the true elegance of its heritage and with a great restaurant, a favourite among locals and tourists.

This is the ideal location from where to tour the many fantastic wine farms, restaurants and golf courses in Stellenbosch and nearby Franschhoek and Paarl.
The Lady Ann courtyard is a lovely area to have breakfast in the summer and in the afternoons the Esquire Cigar bar is open until 17.00. There is also a lovely formal lounge area where at night piano is played for the guests.

Lanzerac has a lovely big pool at the top of the garden and away from the main manor house and restaurant. There is a bar by the pool and guests can also enjoy an outdoor spa treatment. There are also 3 smaller pools around the estate and the rooms look onto the pools so that guests can enjoy a private pool between 6 suites.

The Spa at Lanzerac is a wonderful way to pamper oneself after a long day sight seeing. Guests can relax in the steam sauna or Jacuzzi and get wonderful treatments which include various body treatments and massages, hydrotherapy, stone therapy and various spa packages. Next to the heated indoor pool with views of the vineyards there is also a bar where guests can even enjoy a healthy fruit juice or a nice glass of bubbly before or after a treatment.

Rooms at Lanzerac
Lanzerac has 46 spacious luxury en-suite rooms and 2 stunning larger suites, the presidential and the royal pool suites. All the rooms are individually decorated in a mix of modern and antique furniture. Every room has a private patio overlooking the vineyards or sculpted gardens. Guests have all the top amenities necessary for ultimate comfort such as under floor heating, air-conditioning, a fire-place, TV, safe and international plugs.
The rooms are scattered around the estate so guests will not feel that they are staying in a big hotel. Some of the rooms are in a cluster around a beautiful long pool.
Lanzerac has 4 room categories; the smaller classic rooms are still very spacious and have lovely bathrooms with separate shower and bath. The luxury rooms have lovely big bathrooms and a lounge area with a cozy fireplace as part of the bedroom. These rooms have ample cupboard space.
Junior suites are lovely and spacious with their own separate lounge and gorgeous big bathrooms with French windows looking out to the gardens.
The Royal pool suite is a wonderful honeymoon suite with a romantic touch and with its own private pool and quad. The bedroom is large and there is also a separate lounge area with own en-suite bathroom ideal for families traveling with children. The second bathroom with shower only also has a door leading to the pool. The room faces the lovely lawns and is close to the main restaurant.
The Presidential suite is in the majestic old Manor House. The suite has 2 very spacious rooms; the main bedroom has a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with bath tub and shower. The second room is a library furnished in traditional old manor house style and also has its own bathroom with shower. The library room can be converted into a second bedroom for children or friends traveling together. There is a lovely private garden with a fountain where guests can enjoy private dinners and even a cocktail party for a special occasion.

General Information:
Lanzerac takes children of all ages and can arrange babysitting.
No children under the age of 16 allowed in the Spa.
Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa is a 20 minute walk from Lanzerac.
The hotel is with in easy reach of the Cape’s most celebrated wine farms, golf courses and beaches.

There is a small business area at reception with free internet for the guests.
Lanzerac is a lovely venue to have an outside wedding in the garden for 500 guests. They also do indoor weddings for 140 guests.
Lunch is served at the Lanzerac Terrace or at the tapas bar for a lighter meal. There is also the possibility of setting up lunch in your own private patio. The Governors Hall Restaurant is the hotels main elegant restaurant and serves breakfast, lunch and Á la Carte dinner.
