La Petite Dauphine opened in December 2005 and is a beautiful luxury guest house on a historical working fruit & wine farm.
Charming and genuine, La Petite Dauphine is a gem in the heart of the Cape Winelands, a short drive from Franschhoek village but remote enough to offer the tranquility for a relaxed holiday. The guest house is decorated with lovely modern and cosy country wine estate décor which reminds you of Tuscany and Provence, the free standing buildings surrounded by manicured gardens, orchard tress, vineyards and mountains are perfect for guests wanting to relax and experience what the beautiful Cape Winelands has to offer.
This is a true home away from home, the warm and friendly welcome and hospitality from the owners and staff will make this an unforgettable and wonderful stay.
Set amongst old Oak trees you will find Cafe BonBon where breakfast is served in a 200 year old restored wine cellar. The homemade food is delicious and the service warm and friendly.
Guests can enjoy walks through the vineyards and relax by the two lovely pools after a full day of sightseeing, wine tasting and gourmet eating.
“It was dark and raining when we arrived at La Petite Dauphine but the warm welcome was sufficient to warm anyone’s cold bones. The following morning we had the most wonderful surprise when we opened the curtains, the setting is majestic and we left smiling from ear to ear after a delicious breakfast.” - Alexandra
