Staying in Kendall Cottage is a wonderful way to experience the Cape Winelands since Allée Bleue Wine Estate is a picturesque property of 150 hectares of vineyards, olive trees, fruit plantations and herbs with the stunning Drakenstein mountain range in the background.
Allée Bleue has two lovely restaurants: The Bistro Allée Bleue and the Wine Tasting Courtyard. At the wine estate there is also a beautiful picnic area where visitors to the farm can enjoy sumptuous picnics prepared by the chef at Allée Bleue.
The Bistro Allée Bleue is open from 8h to 17h and serves typical South African delicacies made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from the estate. It is also open for candlelight dinners on Friday and Saturday and a brunch is offered on Sunday.
Right next to the Bistro is the Wine Tasting Courtyard, a beautiful open lounge where you can have a delicious lunch or snack while you enjoy their fine wines.
Accommodation at Allée Bleue – Kendall Cottage
From the outside Kendall Cottage looks like a typical Victorian cottage, however on the inside there is a very interesting twist as the interior has very modern finishes and art on the walls. Kendall Cottage has 2 bedrooms, both en-suite with spacious bathrooms. Both bathrooms have free standing baths and a large shower as well as a separated toilet. At Kendall Cottage there is also a spacious lounge and dining area which has been decorated with a mix of modern and antique furniture. The lounge opens up to a patio where you can enjoy a lovely glass of wine with some snacks from the mini-bar while sinking in the stunning surroundings.
The cottage is very exclusive since it is the only accommodation on the property at the moment. There are also plans for a swimming pool next year.
