Bartholomeus Klip is a wonderful getaway retreat that will make guest feel very much at home. It is a perfect all year round Bartholomeus Klip is the place for a romantic weekend, special celebration and get together with close friends.
Bartholomeus Klip can only sleep18 guests so it really focuses on the personal attention and provides a wonderful sense of tranquility.
In the main house there is a lovely cosy lounge with fireplace that is lit all day in winter and in the summer opens onto the porch. The dining room is in a conservatory glassed room with beautiful natural light and looking onto the small courtyard. There are two smaller lounge areas so guests do not need to feel obliged to interact.
During the day guests can enjoy fly fishing, canooing or simply walking alongside the lake. There are mountain bikes for those wishing to explore the 4000 the very big farm or visit the sheep and the buffalo.

Rooms at Bartholomeus Klip
There are four rooms in the main house as well as a suite just outside the main house.
There is also the separate Olive Cottage that caters for children and can be rented either as a self-catered option or with all the meals included. The Olive Cottage has three bedrooms and a smaller separate cottage with one bedroom. The décor through out is colonial and very cosy.

Bartholomeus Klip is very secluded and not really close to anything, this is part of the charm as it allows you to relax and unwind.
General Information
Bartholomeus Klip only takes children under 16 years when staying at the Olive cottage, meals can be brought to the cottage if guests are on a full board rate.
The Olive cottage is also rented as a self-catered option.
Bartholomeus Klip also offers bush drives into the nature reserve for guests wanting to learn more about the floral and also to see some of the antelopes in the reserve.

RATES - Wild Olive House
The house can be hired on a self-catering basis, with special rates for children. Adults can book for meals at Bartholomeus Klip at the cost of R450 per person (price includes afternoon tea, 3-course dinner and mid-morning brunch). Childminders can be arranged, or meals for the family can be served at Wild Olive House. Rates include morning game drives, use of mountain bikes and daily servicing of the house. Alternatively, guests can choose the all-inclusive Bartholomeus Klip experience (details as for the main farmhouse).
