Grand Dédale

Grand Dédale Country House is located on the elegantly restored Doolhof Wine Estate which dates from the 1700s. The guest house is located outside Wellington in the Cape Winelands, this is slightly off the beaten track which just adds to its charm.

Grand Dédale Country House has six individually decorated suites in the manor house as well as a honeymoon suite in a separate cottage. The manor house also contains a beautifully decorated lounge and dinning area which leads out to a large veranda overlooking the beautiful gardens. At Grand Dédale there is also a very large swimming pool for those guests wanting to enjoy some exercise in the pool to work off the great food that is served here,.

There is also a spa room where guests can enjoy a relaxing beauty treatment.

The six suites in the manor house are beautifully decorated with soft colours and textures, the bathrooms are large and open plan with separate bath and shower. At Grand Dédale Country House there is also a lovely honeymoon suite that is separate from the main house. The honeymoon suite is a two-storey house, the whole upper landing is the lovely large bedroom and downstairs is the living area leading out to a veranda overlooking the beautiful countryside.  The bathroom is also downstairs.

Additional information
Grand Dédale Country House is situated in a valley below the Bainskloof Pass and with 380 hectares of vineyards, mountains and fynboos is a perfect place for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding.

There is a very nice wine tasting area at the Doolhof Wine Estate where lunch can be organized on request.
Children over the age of 12 are  welcome at Grand Dédale Country House.
