Villa Zest

Villa Zest is unique in design and décor. The international mindset of owner Kevin has inspired the design of this ultra chic boutique hotel. Completely different to anything we have ever visited. Set on 4 storeys Villa Zest is a cool and hip small hotel in Green Point. Every space and room has a retro look from the 60’s and 70’s, Austin Power’s would have had a party here.

Villa Zest is compact in size and décor, like a big box with many compartments full of surprises, this ultra modern boutique hotel has a few surprises of its own. Although a small boutique hotel there are several lovely places for guests to relax. There is a very nice pool and garden with lounges under small Bedouin tents, very relaxed and secluded from the wind. On the first floor the magnificent lounge area with big glass windows and a lovely outside veranda is a favourite for pre-dinner drinks and there is also a small roof top lounge with panoramic views of Green Point, ideal for guests returning from dinner who want to continue the evening with out disturbing the other guests.

There is a great feel at Villa Zest created by the minimalist yet fun décor, very clean white look and friendly and warm staff. Guests are invited to experience Villa Zest like a home, there is 24 hour service so if you get back from dinner and have the munchies then there is always someone to make you a sandwich or fruit salad. The honesty bar is open all night and often guests will stay up chatting by the lovely pool and lounges or on the roof top lounge area that offers spectacular views of Green Point.

So fun and vibrant we quickly relaxed and started chatting to the other guests until it was time for dinner so we promised to meet after dinner to continue chatting over some nice drinks and snacks back at Villa Zest. Rooms at Villa Zest
The seven rooms at Villa Zest are not very big, rather quite compact and most of the space is taken up by the wonderful big bed.  All the rooms are named after a 70s theme and have very white minimalist décor, big lovely beds and the latest technology with Ipod stations, wireless, flat screen TV.
The rooms are divided on 3 floors, two rooms are outside overlooking the lovely pool or garden. Three rooms are next to each other on the ground floor and two rooms including the big suite are on the first floor next to the lounge and breakfast room.

Overlooking the pool is the deluxe room which is the smallest room and very compact with enough space for a queen size bed and shower only. This is also a more private room set apart from the others and right by the pool. On the 3rd level next to the breakfast room is the biggest suite which has a separate shower and bath and bigger closet. The rest of the rooms are similar in size but differ in layout with some having more private bathrooms.

Villa Zest has one of the latest models of Mini Cooper convertibles that guests can rent for a reasonable daily charge to do some sightseeing in a different way.
