The course has been ranked by Golf Digest as the 38th best golf course in South Africa, and it’s become a top spot for Cape Town golf holidays among locals and international visitors alike.
Royal Cape is ideal for Cape Town golf holidays. It is a parkland course with mostly narrow fairways, and there are many trees along the edge of the rough. A straight drive is needed when playing at Royal Cape. The greens are fast and on most holes surrounded by bunkers or water. The course is very exposed to the southeaster wind that blows most of the time in Cape Town during the summer months, making the course a real challenge.
