St. Francis Links, as the name implies, is a links course laid out between sand dunes and relatively hilly with undulated fairways and greens. The greens at St. Francis Links are large and very fast and as on many other Jack Nicklaus designed golf courses the greens are surrounded by many bunkers. At St. Francis Links there are many blind tee shoots, the fairways are narrow and the rough is high, so precision is needed from the tee box.
Due to its location, St. Francis Links is very exposed to the wind and on a windy day the golf course becomes a real challenge. The course is not recommended for beginners.
